6^th, 3M ceramic fiber textiles. Working temperature is 1200C~1400C as normal classified.

The main chemical composition is Al₂O₃: 62~99%, SiO₂ : 0~24%, B₂O₃: 0~13%. There are about 5 types of 3M ceramic fibers, so we could find that the 3M ceramic fiber is similar with or is high aluminum fiber in fact. This kind of fiber is mainly produced to fabric, and the fabric is mainly used to Aerospace, Automotive, and Electronic industries.

As we have mentioned in the 5^th about the high aluminum on the production cost, the price of 3M ceramic fiber fabric is about 2~3 times the price of high aluminum fiber fabric. Yes, we are sure that the 3M ceramic fiber fabric’s price is closing to the silver’s price by weight. Very, very, very expensive! But it’s the best high temperature fabrics in the market now according to our knowledge.

7^th, Glass fiber textiles. Working temperature is 550C as normal classified.

The main chemical composition of glass fiber is SiO_2: 52~56%, Al₂O₃: 12~16%, CaO: 16~25%, MgO: 0~5%, B₂O₃: 5~10%. We could guess that as the total composition of SiO₂& Al₂O₃ is less than 70%, that leads to the working temperature of glass fiber is only 550C. But this composition makes the glass fiber production cost lower than ceramic fiber, much cheaper. The glass fiber is used more in electronic field and construction area in the beginning. But as the classified temperature of glass fiber is 710C, a lot of glass fiber textiles are used in aluminum industry insulation.

After texturized the glass fiber yarn, the insulation performance is increased. And the texturized glass fiber yarn could be used to weave thick fabric. This texturized glass fiber fabrics could achieve 6mm in thickness. And the so the tape and braided rope could be produced in the same size with ceramic fiber textiles. Considering the cost of the glass fiber, the texturized glass fiber textiles are widely used in insulation which the temperature below 800C industries. And the high temperature friction area is also required texturized glass fiber textiles.

For the glass fiber, we just introduced a very simple situation. In fact, the glass fiber has the type of C-glass, E-glass and S-glass. Each of them has been widely used in related industries.
