Bio soluble ceramic fiber tape manufacturing process

As we have talked on the bio soluble ceramic fiber in other articles, the bio soluble ceramic fiber is also the called the bio soluble fiber, low bio persistent fiber, Superwool fiber, Isofrax fiber, and Insofrax fiber and so on. So when we talked about this bio soluble ceramic fiber tape manufacturing process, it is the same with other fibers called tape.

1.       What is bio soluble ceramic fiber tape?

The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape is weaved from bio soluble ceramic fiber yarn. It looks in green color like picture showed. According to the standard of textiles, we divided the tape from cloth by the width. The tape’s width is 10mm to 300mm. If the width is less than 10mm, we think it is rope. And if the width is more than 300mm, we think it is cloth. 

2.       What is bio soluble ceramic fiber tape used for?

The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape is reinforced by stainless steel wire or fiberglass filament inside. Based on the bio soluble ceramic fiber’s own characteristics, the bio soluble ceramic fiber tape is mainly used for high temperature pipe and tube insulation. The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape could be easily wrapped around the high temperature pipe. And the workers could choose wrap one layer to three layers according to the temperature insulation requirement.

3.       The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape manufacturing process

The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape now is weaved on the similar machine with cloth, like the picture showed below. It is very like a cloth manufacturing process. But we can see that the machine weaved two tapes at the same time. This is required from the machine and process. So that’s why we usually discuss with customer that if the quantity of tapes in the order should be even instead of odd number. As odd number quantity tape rolls will waste one roll tape.

For the lock edge type of the bio soluble ceramic fiber tape, there are several types in the market, like hair edge, single yarn lock edge and the lock edge type like the picture showed below. In fact we could supply all of them according to the customer requirement. Just tell us is ok.

Generally speaking, the tape is narrow than the cloth. The bio soluble ceramic fiber tape manufacturing process is same with the cloth. And if the order quantity of bio soluble ceramic fiber tape is even, it will be economy for all of us.
